Tinkertalent was originally an Etsy store. Friends from church, Josh Grey and Shelly Wilson discovered a common interest in art during their weekly bible study meetings. They both felt that God was leading them down the path toward something different, so they teamed up and began selling their art online.
After some success, Josh and Shelly started reaching out to friends and soon began selling arts and crafts on consignment. Now Tinkertalent sells arts and crafts from all over the Western United States.
Josh and Shelly are both devout Christians and share a Christian world view. Shelly said they often pray together and believes their path was revealed to them through their faith. She pointed out that Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV) says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Tinkertalent is planning to expand from the western United States to the mid-west within the next five years. They hope to be the leaders in buying and selling home-grown art.
